Abstract:

Problem statement: Research on “philosophy of architecture,” if the exact meaning of the word is considered, begins with studying the opinions in philosophy regarding architecture. Among a few philosophers who have spoken about architecture, whether it is a science or an art, Aristotle, with his Pure and original thoughts, is truly in a high position. In the philosopher’s opinion, architecture is defined by its foundation. For him, the foundation of the building is considered the origin of its existence. architecture is not defined by the existence of accidents and the issue of the phenomenon, but contrary to the opinions of experts of the modern period, known in return for its foundation and not through the recognition of complications and human states that appear through living architectural spaces. In this way, the architectural effect is not recognized merely within the scope of a transverse or phenomenal situation. The concern of an architect is not to build endless phenomenal things along with the house but to build something that is essential in the end and is even ultimately independent of the architect himself. In a word, the house is for the house itself and not for anything else. Research objective: The research objective is to investigate the Aristotelian view of architecture and to know the ontology of architectural construction. Conclusion: In this research, the Aristotelian view of architecture is introduced from the perspective and origin of the theory of “architecture in an absolute way,”  i.e., an architecture that is in accordance with the philosopher’s ruling and the ontological possibility of architectural construction and is discussed in defense of it. Some constructive considerations in the theory with the help of the Aristotelian plan have been discovered and explained.

Abstract:

This paper examines in detail the little-known Friday Mosque (masjid-i jāmi‘) of Firdaus, located southwest of the Khurasan, which has had a key role in developing Saljuq architecture in the area. The original scheme of the mosque was unclear. The lofty īwān and two flanking dome chambers on the west (qibla) side of the courtyard are the central core of the mosque. The main aim of the article is to analyse the architecture of the mosque and demonstrate its association with the architectural style of the Saljuq mosque in the Khurasan area.  During the conservation and restoration measures in 2006, some fresh materials were unearthed. The new findings shed light on the original features of the mosque and revealed its formation. The paper describes the city's history, defines its architectural characteristics, and then analyses the present information for replying to the research questions. Owing to the outcomes of the archaeological investigation, the study suggests the general scheme of the mosque as a further example of the two- īwān mosque, which may be dated to the late years of the 6th /12th century. Despite the importance of the mosque, no lengthy study has been published about the building. The accurate drawing of the plan and sections of this monument, with the proposal scheme for the reconstruction of the mosque, are being published in this paper for the first time.

Abstract:

A Study of Geometry in Islamic architecture by Professor Golroo Najibaaghlou is a valuable work in the field of Islamic architecture. This book has a detailed preface, a brief introduction, and five main sections. As it is known from the introduction of the book, this book was originally written for a non-Iranian audience. The first purpose of writing this book is to try to moderate public belief about geometry and the stages of compilation and discussion in Islamic architecture. Another purpose is to correct the negative view of the geometric documentation of Islamic architecture in the West, because such a view has created a kind of reluctance to equate the works of Islamic architecture with the great works of classical Western architecture. In addition, Najibaaghlou wants to reject and respond to Western criticism that reduces Islamic architecture to the level of an unedited work. In the final chapter of the book, Najibaaghlou looks at the compiled documents of Islamic architecture from a Western perspective and highlights some of the missed points of geometric sciences, including clarifying conceptualization, recording, and transferring architectural design in the Islamic world.

Abstract:

This paper introduces a high-Speed fault-resistant hardware implementation for the S-box of AES cryptographic algorithm, called HFS-box. A deep pipelining for S-box at the gate level is proposed. In addition, in HFS-box a new Dual Modular Redundancy based (DMR-based) countermeasure is exploited for fault correction purpose. The newly introduced countermeasure is a fault correction scheme based on DMR technique (FC-DMR) combined with a version of the time redundancy technique. In the proposed architecture, when a transient random or malicious fault(s) is detected in each pipeline stage, the error signal corresponding to that stage becomes high. The control unit holds the previous correct value in the output of our proposed DMR voter in the other pipeline stages as soon as it observes the value ‘1’ on the error signal. The previous correct outputs will be kept until the fault effect disappears. The presented low-cost HFS-box provide a high capability of fault resistance against transient faults with any duration by imposing low area overhead compared with similar fault correction strategies, i.e. 137%, and low throughput degradation, i.e. 11.3%, on the original S-box implementation.

Abstract:

During the history we see various definition of architecture which has come from human attitudes and the change in economical, social and ecological paradigm in all time.Even every time we face with different paradigm of aesthetic in this field.Technology and human knowledge Development affect architecture. One of the most important reasons for fundamental changes in design and definition of architecture is Descartes philosophical idea.He is the famous philosopher in 16-17 century who said “I think therefore I am” This sentence modifies fundamentals of architecture. In addition, segregation between feeling and thinking occurred.Consequently world view of architecture.Become important for creating architecture and every artistic work. Subsequently some architects have tried to cover the gap between Feeling and thinking. And again gather them together as a whole. So we see many attempts in architecture school in this way. This paper, at the beginning speaks about approaches of thinking and worldview of architecture schools and architects from Vitruvius up to now. After Vitruvius as an architect with holistic thinking in design Process, this paper present Bauhaus as the first school of architecture after Renaissance which has holistic attitude to architecture. Then ecological crisis and Literature of sustainability, sustainable design and education of sustainability in 20 century are reconsidered. All and all, this paper tries to introduce sustainable development in 21 century as a worldview instead of a technical implementation. In addition tries to declare sustainable worldview as a holistic approach of thinking and designing. Also of sustainability to sum up many various skill and knowledge, teaching sustainable design maybe less about adding content to the curriculum and more about adjusting and clarifying the process. Then because of rigid structure of education system in our architecture school, the process which is mentioned couldn’t be achieved. As a result, this paper proposes a flexible system for teaching architecture in school that could handle needs of teaching sustainability theme.

Abstract:

"Interior architecture" as a professional and academic discipline, despite having an independent position, is mixed and intertwined with “architecture”. It can be said that until about a century ago, when "interior architecture" and "interior design" had not been formed, the arrangement and design of interior spaces were mainly related to the specialty of "architecture" and architects had the main responsibility for this work.  But after the changes and transformations that took place over the last two centuries, especially in the social, professional, and academic systems, specialties were formed with the names of "interior decoration", "interior design", and "interior architecture" respectively, and its specialists became the main bearers of the responsibility related to the arrangement and design of interior spaces. Today, interior architecture or interior design has such an independent position in the professional and education system that few can ignore its legitimacy. However, it is important to consider that despite the formation of an independent position for "interior architecture" (or "interior design"), due to its common nature and institution, it has a close and intertwined relationship with "architecture". Therefore, the relationship between interior "architecture" and " architecture" is the subject of this research. This research has been carried out in four steps. Since this article is about the position of interior architecture in relation to architecture, the recognition of interior architecture has been first discussed with a brief overview. Therefore, in the first part, a review of the formation of this specialty has been done in order to gain knowledge of interior architecture through genealogy and examine the course of its evolution. In order to achieve this purpose, it was investigated how the three specializations "interior decoration", "interior design" and "interior architecture" emerged. In the second part, there is a review of opinions in the field of the relationship between "interior architecture" and "architecture" and an attempt has been made to categorize these opinions. To better achieve this, abstract models have been used to explain these opinions. In the third part, by examining and analyzing these votes, the relationship of these votes with each other in a comprehensive model structure was examined. Finally, in the fourth part, with a critical look at the mentioned models, a new conceptual model has been explained to analyze the relationship between "interior architecture" and "architecture". The type of research is qualitative, and its methodology is analytical interpretive, and logical reasoning. This research concludes that the relationship between interior architecture and architecture from the angle of the concept of inside and outside is in the form of a spectrum that interior architecture from inside to outside, and architecture from outside to inside, are intermingled and have no boundaries. At the same time, these two specializations form a whole in a complementary relationship. This research can contribute to a more accurate understanding of interior architecture and clarify its relationship with architecture.

Abstract:

Participatory design in architecture primary was as an ideal and unavoidable approach especially after the WW (II).At first, the main goal was redistribution of power. Later, this approach showed the weak- ness and nonfunctional aspects. Some of the states created seduce participation and left it case some things like cost, time, etc. Some have criticized this approach for the lack of reference to the original principles. The main question in this case is "what is the difference of community architecture with other participatory approaches in architecture? " To reach the respond, through content analysis of the literature and practices we want to represent a conceptual frame work of community architecture (to clarify the typology and meaning of participation in this approach). "Community architecture" is a broad term and has different definitions and aspects. Practice of participatory design in architecture emerged in the 1960s and its roots relate to riots and social movements of that time for civil rights. Different scopes such as politics, social sciences and environmental psychology studies want to describe meaning of community participation in architecture. The term of "Community" refers to some who have same beliefs and needs in a typical geo graphical district. Community has some key issues such as: membership, influence, shared emotion, integration and fulfillment of needs. In spite of many researches and practices in this scope, it couldn' t be accepted as a usefull design method and many of practices don' t have aesthetic dimensional of architecture. "Participatory architecture" and "Social architecture" are other kinds of participatory approaches in architecture from 1960 up to now. These approaches during the four decades didn' t be so success so as be a favor approach for architects.Four decades ago, community design stood for an alternative style of practice based on the idea that professional knowledge without moral and political con tents is often inadequate. Now, new paradigms of community architecture are being formed. A comparative analysis of the paradigms (esp. in developing countries) shows that community architecture approach has a behavior based paradigm which differs in typology and level of community participation in design process. This paradigm consists of environ mental psychology concepts (such as: privacy, personal space, security...), behavior based program ming and theories of community architecture. From this perspective, community architecture is a multi disciplinary field that is related to participatory programming, Environmental psychology, etc. It concern to tacit knowledge and indigenous development of architects. The main goal is to empower architects in per ception of community values through successful practices and provide environments according to needs and values of community. Community architecture consider to cultural values and behavioral needs of community to improve the quality of the built environment. "Community architecture" uses more regional and interpretive typology of participation to discover the community needs but participatory architecture and social architecture use others more. "Community architecture" sees the problem of participation through psychological perspective. Lack of sense of community is a basic problem. Participators are com munity with the same beliefs, needs and wants (not all the people).
